Fondation Cartier
Je suis allée voir hier deux très belles expos à la Fondation Cartier : Beatrice Milhazes et William Eggleston.
I went to see two very beautiful exhibitions to the Fondation Cartier yesterday: Beatrice Milhazes and William Eggleston.
La première est brésilienne et réalise de très grandes toiles assez hypnotiques qui puisent leur inspiration dans l'art populaire brésilien mais également le modernisme ou encore le baroque colonial. Son oeuvre offre une profusion de couleurs, superposition de motifs et collage issus d'une technique mixte qu'elle maîtrise parfaitement. Beatrice Milhazes a également travaillé sur mesure pour la Fondation Cartier en créant un gigantesque collage ainsi que deux installations en vinyle adhésif réalisées sur les façades de verre de la fondation.
Courez-y, c'est beau, c'est fort et très gai.
The first one is Brazilian and realizes very big rather hypnotic paintings which draw their inspiration from the art popular Brazilian but also the modernism or still the colonial baroque. Her work offers a profusion of colors, superimposing of patterns and collage stemming from a mixed technique which she masters perfectly. Beatrice Milhazes also worked to measure for the Fondation Cartier by creating a gigantic collage as well as two installations in adhesive vinyl realized on the glass facades of the fondation.
Run there, it is beautiful, it is strong and very cheerful.
L'autre exposition est celle de William Eggleston, un américain qui mène depuis plusieurs années un projet qu'il consacre à Paris. L'exposition à la Fondation Cartier présente un dialogue entre une très jolie série de photos et des peintures abstraites très colorées.
Un beau paysage urbain frais et enthousiaste.
Other exhibition is the one of William Eggleston, an American which leads for several years a project which it dedicates in Paris. The exhibition to the Fondation Cartier presents a dialogue between a very attractive series of photos and the abstract and colored arts.
